Ingredients

  • 500 g ground beef
  • 250 g ground pork
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 stale bread roll soaked in water and squeezed dry
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 Prise salt to taste
  • 1 Prise pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (for frying)
  • 1 Prise fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef and ground pork.
  2. Add the finely chopped onion, minced garlic, soaked bread roll, egg, Dijon mustard, dried thyme, and paprika into the meat mixture.
  3. Season with salt and pepper, and mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  4. Shape the mixture into patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter and 1 inch thick.
  5. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  6. Fry the patties in batches for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels to remove any excess oil.
  8. Serve warm, garnished with chopped parsley if desired.
