Garlic Shrimp Hawaiian Style Flavors Bursting Delight
Ingredients
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 small red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup pineapple chunks (fresh or canned)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce (or coconut aminos)
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 0.25 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 Prise salt to taste
- 1 Prise pepper to taste
- 2 green onions chopped (for garnish)
- 1 serving cooked jasmine rice (for serving)
Instructions
- Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add in the sliced red bell pepper and cook for another 2-3 minutes until it starts to soften.
- Increase the heat to medium-high and add the seasoned shrimp to the skillet. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque.
- Stir in the pineapple chunks, soy sauce, honey, lime juice, and red pepper flakes (if using). Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
- Remove from heat and taste; adjust seasoning with more salt, pepper, or lime juice as desired.
- Serve the garlic shrimp over a bed of jasmine rice, garnished with chopped green onions.
