Garlic Butter Cod Delight: A Flavorful and Healthy Dish
Ingredients
- 4 pieces cod fillets (about 6 ounces each)
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 piece lemon (zested and juiced)
- 1 Prise Salt
- 1 Prise Pepper
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
- 1 pieces lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
- Rinse the cod fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika, if using. Set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant. Be careful not to let the garlic burn.
- Stir in the lemon zest and juice into the garlic butter mixture. Cook for another minute to combine the flavors.
- Carefully place the seasoned cod fillets into the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, until golden brown and cooked halfway through. Gently flip the fillets and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, spooning the garlic butter over the fish occasionally.
- Once cooked through (internal temperature should be 145°F), sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the cod.
- Plate the cod fillets, drizzling more garlic butter sauce over them. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.
