Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons Thai tea leaves
  • 2 cups water
  • 0.25 cups sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 0.5 cups sweetened condensed milk
  • 0.25 cups evaporated milk
  • 1 Prise Ice cubes (optional for iced version)
  • 1 Prise Star anise (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil over medium-high heat.
  2. Once boiling, remove the saucepan from heat and add the Thai tea leaves to the water. Stir briefly to ensure even soaking. Cover and let steep for about 5-10 minutes, depending on your desired strength.
  3. After steeping, strain the tea leaves through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a heatproof pitcher to remove all solids.
  4. While the tea is still warm, stir in the sugar until completely dissolved. Adjust sweetness according to your taste.
  5. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, then stir in the sweetened condensed milk and evaporated milk. Mix well until smooth and fully combined.
  6. For a hot beverage, pour into cups and serve warm. For iced Thai tea, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the cooled tea over the ice.
  7. Optional: Add a star anise for an aromatic touch and extra flair.
