Dip into Flavor: Best Jalapeño Popper Dip
Ingredients
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 0.5 cup diced fresh jalapeños (seeds removed for less heat)
- 0.5 cup canned diced green chilies, drained
- 0.25 cup green onions, sliced
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 Prise salt to taste
- 1 Prise pepper to taste
- 0.5 cup panko bread crumbs
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 Prise fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Mix until smooth and creamy.
- Stir in the shredded sharp cheddar and mozzarella cheese until well incorporated.
- Gently fold in the diced jalapeños, green chilies, green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- In a small bowl, mix the panko bread crumbs with the melted butter until the crumbs are evenly coated.
- Transfer the dip mixture into a greased 9x9 inch baking dish or a similarly sized oven-safe dish. Spread it evenly and top with the panko mixture.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the dip is bubbling and the top is golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh cilantro if desired. Serve warm with tortilla chips, crackers, or fresh veggies.
