Crunchy Cheesy Tater Tot Delight: The Comfort Food You Need
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 10.5 oz cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp seasoned salt
- 0.5 tsp black pepper
- 32 oz frozen tater tots
- 1 Prise chopped green onions (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add the diced onion and ground beef. Cook until the meat is browned and the onion is translucent. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, garlic powder, seasoned salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir until everything is well combined and heated through. Remove from heat.
- In a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, spread the beef mixture evenly. Sprinkle half of the shredded cheddar cheese over the beef mixture.
- Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer over the cheese. You may choose to top it in a creative pattern or simply blanket them across.
- Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the casserole from the oven and sprinkle the remaining shredded cheese over the top. Return to the oven for an additional 5-7 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and melted.
- Once out of the oven, let it sit for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped green onions if desired, then serve and enjoy this delicious tater tot casserole!
