Cowboy Butter Steak Sliders Easy and Tasty Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 lb sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 Prise Salt
- 1 Prise black pepper
- 8 pieces slider buns
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 small red onion, sliced
- 1 cup baby arugula or lettuce
- 0.5 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- 0.5 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 Prise Salt (to taste)
Instructions
- Make the Cowboy Butter: In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, smoked paprika, chopped parsley, cayenne pepper, and salt. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated. Transfer to plastic wrap, shape into a log, and refrigerate until firm (about 30 minutes).
- Prepare the Steak: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season the thinly sliced steak with salt and black pepper. Add the steak to the hot skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes, until browned and cooked to your liking. Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes before slicing into smaller pieces if needed.
- Toast the Slider Buns: While the steak is resting, cut the slider buns in half and toast them in the skillet (cut side down) for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
- Assemble the Sliders: Spread a generous amount of the chilled cowboy butter on the bottom half of each toasted slider bun. Add a layer of cooked steak, a sprinkle of shredded cheddar cheese, a few slices of red onion, and a handful of arugula or lettuce. Cap with the top half of the bun.
- Serve: Slice each slider in half if desired for easier handling and serve warm, with extra cowboy butter on the side for dipping if desired.
