Cheesy Bacon Garlic Toast Recipe
Ingredients
- 4 slices thick-cut sourdough bread
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
- 0.5 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 Prise salt
- 1 Prise pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- In a small bowl, mix the softened butter with the minced garlic, dried Italian herbs, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.
- Spread a generous layer of the garlic butter mixture on one side of each slice of sourdough bread. Place the slices, buttered side up, on the prepared baking sheet.
- Evenly distribute the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese over the buttered sides of the bread. Top with the crumbled bacon, spreading it out evenly.
- Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Remove the cheesy bacon garlic toast from the oven and let it cool for a couple of minutes. Sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley for a burst of color and added flavor. Cut into halves or quarters and serve warm.
