Cajun Shrimp & Salmon with Garlic Cream Spicy Delight
Ingredients
- 8 oz salmon fillet
- 8 oz shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 0.5 cup chicken broth (low sodium)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 0.5 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 Prise Salt
- 1 Prise Pepper
- 1 tablespoon diced green onions (optional)
Instructions
- Start by patting the salmon and shrimp dry with paper towels. Season both sides of the salmon fillet with half of the Cajun seasoning and the shrimp with the remaining Cajun seasoning.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the salmon fillet skin-side down and cook for about 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy. Carefully flip the salmon and cook for another 3-4 minutes until it flakes easily. Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside to keep warm.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in the chicken broth and scrape the bottom of the skillet to deglaze, allowing the flavors to mix. Bring to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low.
- Add the heavy cream, remaining Cajun seasoning, and lemon juice to the skillet. Stir well to combine, and allow it to simmer for 3-4 minutes until it begins to thicken.
- Add the shrimp into the creamy sauce and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the shrimp is pink and cooked through.
- Once the shrimp is ready, return the salmon to the skillet, spooning some of the creamy sauce over the top. Let everything heat together for a minute.
- Remove from the heat and stir in the chopped parsley. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
