Ingredients

  • 10 oz refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 0.5 cup pepperoni, chopped
  • 0.25 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 egg beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 Prise Parmesan cheese, for sprinkling
  • 1 Prise crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer: Set the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and allow it to preheat for 5 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Dough: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick. Cut the dough into squares (approx. 2-3 inches each).
  3. Fill the Rolls: In a small bowl, mix together the shredded mozzarella, chopped pepperoni, and Italian seasoning. Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each square. Top it with a small drop of pizza sauce.
  4. Seal the Rolls: Fold the corners of the dough squares over the filling to create a pocket. Pinch the edges closed to seal tightly. You can use a fork to crimp the edges for a decorative touch.
  5. Brush with Egg Wash: Brush the tops of the pizza rolls with the beaten egg, ensuring they are evenly coated. This will give them a beautiful golden-brown finish.
  6. Cooking in the Air Fryer: Spray the air fryer basket with olive oil spray. Place the pizza rolls in a single layer (work in batches if necessary). Lightly spray the tops with more olive oil.
  7. Air Fry the Rolls: Cook for 6-8 minutes, or until they are golden and crispy. Shake the basket halfway through the cooking time to ensure even cooking.
  8. Garnish and Serve: Once done, remove from the air fryer and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and optional crushed red pepper flakes for added flavor.
  9. Dipping Sauce: Serve hot with extra pizza sauce on the side for dipping.
